Big Bus Tours - On which days does the tour operate?

Big Bus Sydney operates daily.

If unexpected closures arise, information will be published on the Big Bus service information website page on or download the Big Bus Tours app for the most up to date information.

Big Bus Tours - What is the child ticketing policy?

A child ticket is available for children between the ages of 3–15. Children under 3 may travel free of charge. All children must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 16.

Big Bus Tours - Do I need to specify a date for travel?

Yes –we’ll ask you to select the date you’d like to hop on the bus. If you’re touring for more than one day, your ticket must be used across consecutive days, and the date you select at time of booking should be the first day of your tour. Some tours also require you to select a time of travel, to guarantee your seat. If your ticket includes extras, you may also need to book additional dates & times for all elements of your ticket after your purchase is complete. See your booking confirmation email for instructions.

Big Bus Tours - I bought the ticket but it’s for someone else. It has my name on it, is this ok?

You're all set! Simply show your voucher(s) to any member of on-street staff who will scan the QR code and hand over your yellow Big Bus Tour tickets. Don't lose them, they're like gold (cash) and cannot be replaced.

Big Bus Tours - Are buses wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the lower decks of the buses are wheelchair accessible, with ramps enabling access to all vehicles within the Sydney fleet. The boarding areas in the proximity of our bus stops in Sydney are also wheelchair accessible. There is space for one wheelchair per bus. Big Bus regretfully advise that they cannot accommodate mobility scooters, and may not be able to accommodate larger wheelchairs, due to weight and stability restrictions. Please note that the total weight of the customer, their assistant and their mobility aid must be less than 300 kg (660 lb). This is to ensure the maximum weight capacity of the boarding ramps is not exceeded. The wheelchair also cannot exceed the width of the designated wheelchair seating area.

To avoid any disappointment on your day of travel, Big Bus would be happy to confirm in advance whether your wheelchair can be accommodated on board. Please get in touch with Big Bus Tour via the website or download the Big Bus Tours app.
